Ken Tsang

Based in Vancouver, BC, Ken is a pioneering environmental specialist with over 30 years of deep expertise and global network. He advises Vine Ventures on multiple environmental related projects.
He was the Canadian EH&S Director for Dow Canada in 2000, and was subsequently appointed as the Dow Asia Pacific EH&S Director for Operations in 41 locations in 11 countries. He was responsible for EH&S performance excellence, Responsible Care® strategies and sustainability. After Dow, Ken joined the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM) located in Shanghai, China, as the Senior Responsible Care Director. He promotes Responsible Care strategy and facilitates capacity building projects for the Chinese chemical industry including advocacy work in chemical parks, higher education institutions, media and the general public. Since 2013, Ken has been appointed as the China Responsible Care Advisor of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), headquartered in Washington DC/Brussels.
Ken has been very active in the Responsible Care area since its inception in Canada. In 2013, Ken received a Merit Award of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada for his contributions to promote Responsible Care globally. He was a member of the British Columbia and Alberta Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists Associations and a member of the Air and Waste Association (AWMA) of the US for more than 25 years. He is also an Emeritus member of the Qualified Environmental Professionals (QEP) of the US.
Tsang holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from California State University in California and a Master of Science in Engineering from Oregon State University.
