Garry is a C-Level financial/operating executive with 34 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, business & strategic development, investment banking, restructuring and public accounting. Gyselen has sourced, negotiated and structured numerous complex transactions including multi-jurisdictional financings, strategic acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring and has raised significant capital in various industry sectors including telecommunications, biotechnology, retail, banking, agriculture, transportation, technology/telecom/mobile, asset-based lending, real estate, renewable energy/green opportunities, resources (oil and gas, mining), entertainment/content/digital media, health and medical, luxury brands and philanthropy. Mr. Gyselen is currently Chief Executive Officer of Five Oceans Group, an exclusive asset management firm whose primary business is collaborating with a global Investor network to pursue and execute world class engineered investment opportunities.
Prior to Five Oceans, Mr. Gyselen was CEO of KPTT, a private investment holding company, focused on private and public equity transactions originated and financed primarily through an extensive “old-guard” European network. Mr. Gyselen’s alliance with one of Europe's oldest royal family members provided access to a variety of privileged relationships and global opportunities. Mr. Gyselen continues to selectively advise multiple family offices on capital appreciation strategies and portfolio investment strategies through proprietary and opportunistic transactions. Previously, Mr. Gyselen was Global Chief Accountant of BMO Nesbitt Thomson Inc., one of Canada’s largest full-service investment houses. Mr. Gyselen is a Chartered Accountant and an alumnus of international accounting firms Ernst & Young and Deloitte. Gyselen received post graduate designations in accounting and business from McGill University and is a distinguished member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec.
