Evelyn Y.K. Lee, founder of Vine Ventures Corporation (formerly Vine Group Inc.), is an international entrepreneur, investor, board advisor and financier in private equity and business development. She has over 2 decades of experience in the venture capital industry. She is passionate about social causes, particularly in global equality and sustainability.
Ms. Lee started her career at London Life in the personal financial advisory section and won industry and company performance awards while there. Prior to founding Vine Group, Ms. Lee represented investors in Asia for First Venture Fund, which led seed-round investments for high-tech Silicon Valley start-ups. She also represented an Asian based family office in overseas investments and their North American charitable foundation. As an investment banker, she has organized numerous international roadshows and secured financing for many: Canadian Baseball League, Cirmaker Technology, among others. She also reorganized financing for Registrars.com, which was later acquired by Network Solutions. She has acted as corporate advisor and catalyst, actively advising entrepreneurs, founders, and investors. She is an activist involved in the formation, due diligence, assessment, strategy, structuring, negotiation, capitalization, execution, and management of selected ventures and special situation projects.
Ms. Lee is a board member of MYUBI, a blockchain-powered charitable platform built to reduce global poverty, headquartered in Australia. She was also an advisory board member for several private and public medtech companies, including Geneius Biotechnolgy, Skinvisible Pharmaceuticals, and others.
Ms. Lee has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences, including: the Global Chinese Financial Forum in Shanghai, SME Financing and Investment Conference in Shandong, the China Real Estate Forum in New York City, the IP Panel "Doing Business in China" in Austin, Texas, and "The Financial Crisis & Its Effects on Entrepreneurship" in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a featured speaker to the European women's delegation of The International Federation of Business & Professional Women (BPW) in New York City during their visit to the United Nations and was the keynote speaker of BPW Germany's 60th year anniversary in Berlin, in April, 2011. She was subsequently elected as an honorary member of BPW's Munich Chapter. She spoke at the "InterCultural and TransContinental PE Investments" conference at the Biotalk "1st Swiss Innovation Roadshow" Forum in May, 2017, in Zurich, Switzerland.
Ms. Lee was born and raised in Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. She is a Canadian citizen, currently living in Vancouver. From 2008 to 2018, she split her time between New York and Vancouver, travelled to Europe annually. A global citizen, she has lived in 7 cities spanned in Asia, North America (San Francisco, New York) and Europe (Hamburg).
